Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has announced that John Goldfinch, a London-based member of the firm’s alternative investments practice group, has been elected to the firm’s partnership effective 1 January. John has a broad structured finance, securitisation and transactional derivatives practice covering the full spectrum of products. He joined Milbank in 2011 after receiving an MA from Oxford.
Balderton Capital
Venture capital firm Balderton Capital has promoted Rob Moffat and James Wise to the partnership. Balderton’s partnership now comprises eight investing partners. Rob and James have been members of Balderton’s investment team for a combined total of 11 years, and hold multiple board positions between them. Rob joined Balderton in 2009 from Google, where he was a manager in the European strategy and operations team. James joined Balderton in 2012 and has worked on portfolio companies such as Crowdcube, the world’s largest crowdfunding site, Sunrise , and 3DHubs, the world’s largest 3D printing platform. He holds seven board positions, and specialises in enterprise software, productivity tools and healthcare technology.
Hodge Jones & Allen
London law firm Hodge Jones & Allen has announced new appointments to its management board – Vidisha Joshi is head of personal injury and Laila Bhunnoo, head of family, has ascended to the management board. In her role, Laila’s practice includes special guardianship orders, care orders, supervision orders and emergency protection orders, in addition to adoption within the UK and overseas and child abduction. She is a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel and was awarded Employer of the Year 2011 by the National Mentoring Consortium for her work with BME law students at the University of Westminster. Vidisha, who joined the firm in 2011, specialises in complex personal injury cases, with a particular focus on highway and motor claims.
Centrus Advisors
Treasury and debt advisory business Centrus Advisors has appointed Amy Wilson and Rob Dutfield as Business Analysts to support its growing advisory platform. Amy joins from her current role as an assistant manager in the modelling & risk consulting team at KPMG, having previously worked at Telereal Trillium in their business modelling team. Rob, who is a qualified chartered accountant joins Centrus from E&Y, having been on their corporate finance graduate scheme for the past three years.
