Ogilvy & Mather London has appointed Mick Mahoney to the role of chief creative officer to lead the agency’s creative output across its client portfolio in the UK. He will report into newly appointed chief executive Charlie Rudd. Mick was executive creative director (ECD) at RKCR/Y&R from 2013 to 2015, and previously worked as ECD at Havas Worldwide London for four years, and as creative director at BBH London.
Auto Trader
Digital marketplace Auto Trader Group has announced the appointment of Jeni Mundy as an independent non-executive director from 1 March. Jeni will also join the audit, remuneration and nomination committees. Jeni is the enterprise product management director for Vodafone Group. She started her career as a radio engineer with BellSouth in New Zealand before joining Vodafone in 1998. Her roles for there have included five years as chief technology officer (CTO) in New Zealand managing IT and the mobile network, five years as the Vodafone UK CTO, and a year leading the Northern Europe Sales team for multi-national customers.
Sociomantic Labs
Adam Baker has been appointed managing director for the UK of advertising advisory firm Sociomantic Labs. Adam joins from Guardian Media Group (GMG), the parent company of The Guardian and The Observer, where he served as chief operations officer. During his time at GMG, Adam was responsible for day-to-day operations of n0tice, a Guardian product which helps publishers turn their users into contributors. Before GMG, Adam was a digital product and commercial director at Northcliffe Media, a regional newspaper publisher in the UK, before creating his second venture, Blottr, an eyewitness news network. Adam’s first company, Rehash, was an advertising technology business which enabled publishers to target web users based on currently viewed content.
Management Resource Solutions
Human capital resource consultancy Management Resource Solutions has formally appointed Christopher John Berkefeld as an independent non-executive director. His background is in industrial, waste and mining services in Australia along with engineering and heavy transportation services in Europe and Asia. He was with services company Brambles for 25 years and ran the waste management and industrial services businesses upon their sale to a private equity group in 2006. Chris will sit on both the audit and remuneration committees of the company.
