L’OREAL
Beauty giant L’Oreal has appointed Vismay Sharma as its UK & Ireland country managing director to strengthen its position in the beauty and cosmetics market. Vismay will start his new role in July and lead the company’s consumer products division encompassing brands like L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, Essie, and Soft Sheen Carson. Vismay comes with more than 20 years’ experience within L’Oreal and has held various management roles around the globe including country managing director at L’Oreal Indonesia and head of L’Oreal’s consumer products division in India.
SAVILLS INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
International real estate manager Savills Investment Management has appointed Richard Lake as its global head of investment risk to spearhead its risk management operations across the globe. Richard, who was previously head of European investment at the company, will chair key transaction advisory committees, while ensuring the highest governance standards are met across the business. He will also be responsible for overseeing how investment risks are managed across the organisation.
ROCKET FUEL
Programmatic marketing platform provider Rocket Fuel has named David Gosen as the company’s senior vice president and managing director, international. David joins Rocket Fuel from Nektan Plc, an international provider of mobile gaming platforms, where he was CEO. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all of Rocket Fuel’s business and operational activities across the international division. David has worked with many digital giants including Nielsen, Microsoft and BSkyB. At Nielsen, he was instrumental in the launch of Nielsen Online and Cross Screen Campaign Ratings across Europe.
ODDFELLOWS MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Boutique hotel chain Oddfellows Management Company has appointed Brian Mills as a non-executive director. He is the former owner of Hill Goodridge & Associates, the company operating hotel chains Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Luxury Hotel Partners. Brian began his hospitality career at Grand Metropolitan Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Cunard Hotels & Resorts. He founded Hill, Goodridge & Associates in 1992 with a former colleague, Paul Kerr, to act as an outsourced global management company to Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
