UBS Asset Management
UBS Asset Management has appointed Pedro Coelho as head of UBS ETFs Spain. In his role, Pedro will be responsible for business development for ETFs and will aim to grow and strengthen the professional client relationships in all key market segments. Pedro started his career in the financial sector in 2000 in Lisbon and before joining the UBS ETF team he worked for 10 years in NN Investment Partners, in Madrid and Lisbon, where he was a senior clients director for Iberia, Latin America and US Offshore.
Heartwood Investment Management
Heartwood Investment Management has named Paul Rose as intermediary client director. Paul will help develop and manage Heartwood’s financial adviser business solution and distribution strategy. Paul joins Heartwood from Novia Financial where, as regional sales manager, he was initially responsible for developing the company’s presence in the north east before taking over responsibility for the north west region. Prior to that, he was national sales manager at Cofunds, instrumental in the fund administration service provider seeing its highest overall new net sales in four years. Paul has also worked at Zurich Financial Services progressing to regional sales manager.
Coupa Software
Coupa Software, a cloud-based spend management firm, has appointed Steve Winter as its chief revenue officer. Steve brings with him more than two decades of operations, sales management and organisational development experience from some of the largest and most successful software organisations in the world.Most recently, he served as executive vice president of Worldwide Field Operations at Marketo and before that was the global head of SAP’s Emerging Solutions organisation. As CRO at Coupa, Steve is responsible for driving better integration and alignment of all revenue-connected aspects of the business which includes sales and marketing. He will be the leader and architect of the overall revenue strategy at Coupa.
Debevoise & Plimpton
Aatif Ahmad has joined Debevoise & Plimpton as an international counsel in the firm’s London office. Aatif joins from Allen & Overy, where he was a member of the firm’s financial services regulatory group. His practice focuses on advising financial institutions and corporates on EU and UK financial services regulation. He has significant experience advising clients on matters such as authorisation, passporting, change of control, conduct of business, regulatory capital, client money and collateral, market abuse, OTC derivatives markets reforms and recovery and resolution.
