Microsoft
Microsoft has hired Ian Fordham, currently CEO of Edtech UK and a mayor of London tech ambassador, as director of education. He will oversee Microsoft’s work involving schools, colleges, universities and other learning organisations. Ian is chief executive of Edtech UK, Britain’s strategic body for the education and learning technology sector, and is co-founder of The Education Foundation, the UK’s cross-sector education think tank. He has held positions across the education and not-for-profit sector, including deputy director of the British Council for School Environments, head of policy at ContinYou, head of training and development at Education Extra and is a former secondary school teacher.
Addleshaw Goddard
Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Jonathan Fletcher Rogers, to lead its employee incentives team within the firm's employment and incentives group. Jonathan will join the London based practice next week, arriving from specialist employment and incentives firm, Abbiss Cadres where he was a partner. Prior to joining Abbiss Cadres, Jonathan spent over 10 years in the share incentives practice at Allen & Overy. Jonathan has experience in advising both FTSE main market and Aim listed companies on a broad range of employee incentives work, encompassing standalone advice on share and cash incentives as well as remuneration and corporate governance matters. Jonathan has significant experience advising on the incentive aspects of corporate deals, including Aim and Nasdaq flotations, private equity and other M&A transactions, and whilst at Abbiss Cadres Jonathan has been the main adviser to a number of other law firms providing them with share incentives coverage on both transactions and standalone matters for their clients.
Avignon Capital
Avignon Capital, the European property investment specialist, has added to its team with the recruitment of Sam Salloway and Sarah Page from Savills, with both set to be based at the firm’s London office. Sam joins the firm as an investment and fund Analyst, having achieved a strong track record in pan-European real estate transactions at Savills Investment Management. He will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing investments in the UK and Europe. Sarah’s role at Avignon Capital will be asset manager; having worked on the asset and investment management team at Savills, she will be focussing on the asset management of Avignon’s UK and European portfolio, as well as sourcing new investment opportunities for the business.
Colt Technology Services
Colt Technology Services has announced that TS Narayanan has joined the company as VP and CIO reporting directly to CTO Rajiv Datta. Narayanan is based in London, and joins Colt from Tech Mahindra where he has held a number of senior roles, most recently as senior vice president and head of delivery and solutions for Europe.
