Cushman & Wakefield
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Angus Currie as an international partner in its market-leading London occupier representation team. Angus, who will start work at Cushman & Wakefield in spring, joins from JLL where he was head of south east England tenant representation. Angus first joined JLL as a graduate in 2001, and since then has advised on many of the region’s largest occupier projects, including the acquisitions of Astrazeneca’s 650,000 sq ft new global HQ in Cambridge, 184,000 sq ft for HMRC in Croydon, and 215,000 sq ft for Aker Solutions in Chiswick. Cushman & Wakefield’s occupier representation team is the market leader in London, acting on more than 30 per cent of all acquisitions above 100,000 sq ft across the past two years. The team specialises in advising on complex, strategy-led projects for companies whose real estate requirements define the London market.
Immunocore
Immunocore, a leading T Cell Receptor (TCR) biotechnology company, announced that Bahija Jallal has been appointed as chief executive officer and director of the board. With more than 25 years of international leadership experience within the pharmaceutical industry, Bahija joins Immunocore from Astrazeneca, where she is president of Medimmune, its global biologics research and development arm, and a member of the senior executive team reporting to the chief executive. Since joining Medimmune in 2006, Bahija has overseen the development of several new medicines. Under Bahija’s leadership, Medimmune has significantly boosted its pipeline. Bahija has fostered an entrepreneurial culture that resulted in hundreds of patent applications and significant growth in the publication of Medimmune science in high impact journals. She forged industry-first collaborations and led efforts to acquire four independent biotech, big data and technology companies. Bahija also laid the foundation for the creation of an inflammation and autoimmunity carved out as an independent biotech.
Colliers
Global real estate advisor Colliers International has today announced the appointment of Andrea Ferranti as head of industrial and logistics research. Andrea joins Colliers following a five-year tenure at BNP Paribas real estate, where he most recently held the position of senior research analyst within the industrial and logistics team. In his new role at Colliers, Andrea will expand the scope of the division’s current research remit, as well as lead on a number of existing initiatives.
