City Moves for 4 February – who’s switching jobs at Accel, BCLP and Zoopla?

Accel
Accel, the leading global venture capital firm, today announces that Andrei Brasoveanu and Seth Pierrepont have both been named as partner, strengthening Accel’s team in London. Andrei is promoted to partner from his previous role as principal at Accel and will remain focused on investments in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure and fintech. He led Accel’s recent series A investments into real-time observability solution Humio and dashdash, a cloud platform to help create web applications using a spreadsheet. Andrei played a key role in Accel’s early investments in and ongoing work with Celonis, UiPath, Instana, and Monzo.
In his new role, Seth Pierrepont (pictured) will continue to focus on investments in enterprise software, cyber security and consumer. Seth led Accel’s recent series A investment into Anyfin, a consumer finance company that enables its customers to easily refinance their existing credit facilities. He was also pivotal in Accel’s investments in and work with Kry, Worldremit, Soldo, Snyk, Shift Technology, Callsign, and FRVR, among others. Seth joined the Accel team in 2013, having previously been an investor in European companies at Vision Capital.
BCLP
International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has announced the appointment of Simon Beddow as the new corporate deputy departmental managing Partner. Simon will be based in BCLP’s London office. A highly experienced and respected M&A and corporate finance lawyer, with extensive management experience and a long track record of winning business, Simon is recognised as a leading individual for M&A by the Legal 500 $250m (£191.2m) and above. Simon joins the firm from Ashurst where he was managing partner of their London office. During his more than 20 years as a partner at Ashurst, he also held a number of other senior management roles in Europe and globally.
Zoopla
Zoopla, the owner of multiple leading property-related websites, software and data businesses, has promoted Richard Donnell to research and insight director where he joins the executive team. Richard brings 25 years of property industry experience in data and analytics to Zoopla. He started his career with 12 years at global real estate business Savills where he built a successful research and consultancy business. This was followed by 13 years at property analytics business Hometrack which has become the market leader in automated valuations and market analysis for decision making in residential. Richard was part of the management team that sold Hometrack to ZPG Plc for £120m in February 2017.
