The professional services and investment firm, specialising in real estate, has appointed Michael Davis to lead a business unit focused on London’s emerging markets. He joins from Cushman and Wakefield, and has particular experience in the TMT, leisure and creative sectors.
Sanlam Securities
The corporate finance and broking arm of Sanlam Private Investments has appointed Michael Bell as head of institutional sales and research. He was previously head of sales and corporate sales at Finncap, and has also served as head of sales at Daniel Stewart & Co. Bell has held further roles at Fox-Pitt Kelton and SBC Warburg.
RBC Capital Markets
Royal Bank of Canada’s corporate and investment banking arm has announced two senior appointments to its European rates trading team. Andrew Graham joins as managing director, head of sterling rates trading. He has worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and RBS. Nick Weatherall joins as managing director, head of sterling inflation trading from RBS.

Three investment managers have joined the London office of the investment professional network from Brewin Dolphin. Neil Jones was previously a divisional director at Brewin Dolphin, and has also held positions at HSBC James Capel, Smith & Williamson, and Carr Sheppards. Ian Kavanagh has 14 years’ investment management experience, and started his career at Towry Law. Victoria Macdonald has spent 9 years in the investment sector.
Castle Trust
The equity loan specialist has appointed Alex Upton as head of mortgage sales. He is succeeded in his previous position of business development manager (south central) by Tracey White.

Claire van Rees has been promoted to partner at Sackers, the commercial law firm for pension scheme trustees and sponsors. Van Rees has particular expertise in defined contribution benefits and setting up defined contribution master trusts.
Eversholt Rail
The rail group has appointed Keith Ludeman as chairman. He is a former chief executive of Go-Ahead Group.
