Fladgate
The law firm has made two appointments. Ian Brent (right) joins as a corporate partner. He was previously head of corporate at Davies Arnold Cooper and head of London corporate at Halliwells. Melissa Needham joins as a corporate associate from DAC Beachcroft.
BDO
The accountancy firm has recruited Neil Williams as a director in its professional services team. He is a tax specialist with 13 years’ industry experience. Williams was formerly a senior manager at PwC.
Russell Investments
The asset management firm has hired Mirko Cardinale as head of asset allocation for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joins from Aviva Investors, where he was head of strategic asset allocation and lead fund manager for its UK with-profits and diversified growth funds.
RPC
Simon Adam has been appointed legal director at the City law firm. He is currently senior associate, and joined RPC in 2004.
First Reserve
The private equity firm focused on energy has announced two appointments. Gary Reaves has been named managing director. He joined First Reserve in 2006 from UBS Investment Bank, where he was an analyst in its global energy group. Will Brown has been appointed director. He was formerly an investment banking analyst at Banc of America Securities.
SW Mitchell
Susannah de Jager has been appointed chief operating officer at the European equity boutique. She joined the firm in 2010 from Citywire.
King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin
The law firm has recruited Thomas Chevalier as counsel in its international funds practice and Bertrand Geradin as counsel in its corporate team.
Revere Capital Advisors
The boutique financial services firm has made three appointments to its new merchant banking division. Albert Pastino joins as executive vice chairman; Colby Collier has been appointed president; and William Haemmerle joins as managing director.
