Virgin Group
The Virgin Group has appointed Amy Stirling as its new chief financial officer. As CFO of the Virgin Group, Amy will be responsible for the Group’s overall financial and risk positions as well as accounting, tax, treasury and key portfolio matters. Amy will use her expertise and experience to manage the Virgin Group finances as the brand continues to expand in five core industries – mobile telephony, travel and transportation, financial services, leisure and entertainment and health and wellness. Most recently Amy was the CFO for The Prince's Trust, however much of her career has been in TMT (technology, media and telecommunications). She was the CFO of the public company TalkTalk until 2013 following its demerger from the Carphone Warehouse Group.
Legal & General Investment Management
Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Simon Chinnery as head of DC cient solutions. In this newly created role, Simon will report to Chris DeMarco, head of institutional client management and strategy, and Emma Douglas, head of DC. Simon has 30 years of experience in the asset management industry. He joins LGIM from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he spent 11 years working closely with clients and consultants and latterly was head of UK DC. Prior to this, Simon was head of the UK Institutional business at ABN Ambro. He has previously held roles at Schroder Investment Management and Gartmore Investment Management.
Fifty-five
Data company fifty-five has named Neo@Ogilvy’s Richard Wheaton as its new UK MD. Richard will take up the position after 9 years at Neo@Ogilvy, most recently as European CEO. Prior to this he led Carat's interactive division and was the European marketing director of Getty Images. The role will see Richard lead the expansion of fifty-five’s UK capability, building on its impressive year-on-year growth rates of over 300 per cent. The company was founded in 2010, and has grown rapidly into a business with over 150 employees operating in offices in Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Kemp Little
Kemp Little has appointed Mark Lewis as a partner in its IP and technology disputes group. Mark’s appointment boosts the firm’s dispute resolution capability following the appointment of technology disputes specialist partner Vicky Cooper in December 2015. The 11 strong team works closely with the firm’s market-leading commercial technology group. Mark specialises in outsourcing, IP and technology disputes and acts for both suppliers and buyers. He has been involved in disputes relating to some of the largest and most complex IT projects in the world. Mark joins from Penningtons Manches, where he was head of the technology disputes group.
