FM Global
The insurer has promoted current executive vice president Thomas A Lawson to president. He will succeed Shivan S Subramaniam, effective 1 January 2015. Lawson joined the firm in 1979, and was appointed to his current position in 2009.
Axa Investment Managers
Deborah Shire has been appointed head of structured finance at the asset management firm. She is currently global head of business development at Axa Real Estate, a member of its management board, and in charge of corporate finance, investor relations, and marketing and communications. Shire joined Axa in 1996.
Withers
The law firm has hired Tessa Lorimer into its tax disputes and investigation practice. She joins as special counsel from GSC Solicitors, where she worked as a barrister advising on civil and criminal tax investigation matters.
UBS Global Asset Management
Philip Brides has been appointed senior portfolio manager for asset allocation and currency, based in Chicago, at UBS’s asset management division. He joins from BlackRock, where he was most recently responsible for global tactical asset allocation strategies within the multi-asset strategies group in London.
Michelmores
Simon Rose has been appointed head of tax at the law firm. He joins from Nabarro, where he chaired its international tax network.
TSB Bank
Jatin Patel has been appointed product director at the bank. He joined TSB at the start of 2013 as current accounts director, and has been acting product director since the end of 2013. Patel has also previously worked as current accounts director at Lloyds TSB.
Hogan Lovells
The law firm has announced the appointment of two real estate partners to its London finance practice. Andrew Flemming and Jo Solomon both join from Berwin Leighton Paisner.
JC Rathbone Associates
The financial risk management consultancy has appointed Michelle Quinn as director in its real estate team. She was previously global real estate treasurer at Aviva Investors Real Estate.
