Matt Nicholson has left his role as director of planning at CBRE UK to join specialist planning and design consultancy Terence O’Rourke as special projects director and run the company’s London office. Matt has 16 years’ experience in public and private roles within the planning industry, having also held senior planning roles at Sainsbury’s and GL Hearn, as well as working as a town planner for King Sturge and Cushman & Wakefield. At CBRE he was a director within the London planning team, advising a range of commercial and residential developer clients across the capital and the south east. At Terence O’Rourke, Matt will be involved with a strategic land review for a major international developer looking to undertake large scale residential schemes, as well as advising on a significant town centre regeneration project.
Global business advisory firm FTI Consulting has appointed Nigel Webb as senior managing director in its growing forensic accounting and advisory services (“FAAS”) practice in London. Nigel is a financial markets expert with hands on experience in both the front and middle Office and in both technology and business roles. He has worked in many different types of institution ranging from investment banks through to interdealer brokers and securities firms, and as a former ‘Big 4’ partner he brings in-depth consulting skills as well as considerable project management experience.
Artemis Investment Management has appointed Stephanie Sutton as an investment director, concentrating initially on marketing Artemis’ US equity products in Europe. Stephanie joins Artemis from Fidelity, where she was an investment director, and has over 20 years’ investment experience. She graduated from the Institut Commercial de Nancy in 1995. After that Stephanie held various roles as an equity analyst, fund manager and product manager/specialist at Societe Generale, F&C and Lehman Brothers. She then worked as a consultant at Ernst & Young, advising asset managers, before joining Fidelity in 2008.
Celicourt Communications has appointed Ian Middleton as a partner and co-investor in the company. Ian joins Celicourt from Powerscourt, where he was head of industrials, energy and natural resources and a memberof the senior management team. Ian has extensive experience in advising both businesses and international government departments on their strategic communications, having worked across M&A, IPOs, fund raisings and crisis situations, as well as long-term profile raising campaigns. During his career in communications he has advised clients including Dong Energy (on their recent IPO), Airbus Group, BHP Billiton, Cobham and Drax Group among other firms.
