Castle Harbour
The financial services firm has appointed Eric Daniel to co-manage a new convertible bond fund. Daniel was formerly head of equity derivatives and convertible bond sales at Citigroup in Paris. He will run the Castle Harbour R&D Pure Global Convertibles Fund.
Canaccord Genuity
Nishad Vallonthaiel has been appointed head of electronic and programme trading in London by the banking and financial services company. He joins from Espirito Santo Investment Bank. Prior to that, he was with Bloombery Tradebook in London.
UHY Hacker Young
The accountancy group has appointed Jon Warsop as its chairman, succeeding Howard Spencer. Warsop has been a partner since 1997.
Russell Investments
The index compiler and asset manager has appointed Yves Josseaume and Sital Cheema to its Europe, Middle East and Africa client strategy and research team. Josseaume has 17 years’ experience, and has previously held senior positions at Aon Hewitt and HSBC. Prior to that, he worked at Aviva and PwC. Sital formerly worked at Standard Life as an investment director. Prior to that, she was at Mercer Investment Consulting.
Dechert
Caroline Black will join the law firm’s litigation team, and Andrew Harrow and Patrick Lyons will join the corporate team. All three will be based in London.
Windar Photonics
The technology company has appointed Simon Barrell as a non-executive director ahead of its planned IPO on Aim. A chartered accountant, Barrell’s career spans three decades. He was worked at Napier Brown & Company, Binder Hamlyn and Arthur Young, as well as holding a number of executive positions.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
Claire Wills joins the law firm as a corporate partner, and will co-head its financial institutions group on a four-year term.
Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings
Paul Young will join the holding company as head of its capital markets group. Young has spent 28 years of his career at Citigroup, having joined Salomon Brothers in 1986.
