Touch Surgery
Eric Collins has been appointed by Touch Surgery as chief operations officer. Eric is a technology executive who has spent a career building the value of software companies through innovative product, distribution, monetisation and partnering strategies. Previously he has held roles at AOL, Time Warner and SwiftKey/Microsoft. He was also appointed by former President Obama to serve on the small business administration's council. He joins a 58 strong team at Touch Surgery which is headquartered in London.
Gresham House Forestry
Gresham House Forestry, the forestry asset management division of specialist asset manager Gresham House plc, has promoted Matthew Giles and Rob Carlow to director.Matthew is a chartered forester with over 12 years’ experience. He specialises in asset management having gained practical experience as a forest manager for extensive areas in South Wales, North England and Scotland. Rob is an investment and economic analyst at GHF and leads the forestry acquisitions team. At the same time, Jon Strickland, managing director of GHF, will be joining the board of Gresham House Asset Management, a subsidiary of Gresham House plc responsible for the company’s range of differentiated and illiquid alternative investment strategies including forestry, private equity and public equity.
Allied World Assurance
Allied World Assurance has appointed Stephen Crabb as senior vice president, European head of claims, Global Markets Claims Group, based in London. He will report to Colm Singleton, head of Bermuda and global markets claims. Stephen joins Allied World from Chubb, where he was the regional head of claims for Eurasia and Africa and the head of political risk and credit claims. He previously worked as a claims manager at Beazley and started his career as a lawyer at Norton Rose and was subsequently employed at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and CMS Cameron McKenna.
Touchstone
Catherine Eastwood has been appointed business director south, at Touchstone, the UK wide property management firm, specialising in the private rented sector and build to rent. Catherine's expertise in the private rented sector means she is perfectly placed to help Touchstone grow its business in the South. She will focus on Touchstone’s London and Bath offices, delivering consistent operational excellence, while retaining her responsibility for Touchstone’s relationship with Wellcome Trust and Dolphin Living.
