The insurance and risk management firm has appointed Sally Williams as director of risk and governance. She joins from National Australia Bank Group, where she was head of risk, London branch. Williams has also worked as group director of risk at Aviva.
Legal & General Investment Management
The asset management firm has announced two appointments to its emerging markets (EM) fixed income team. Philip Meier joins as a portfolio manager from Axa Investment Managers, where he was senior portfolio manager in its EM fixed income team. John Gray joins as a credit analyst from RBS, where he was a vice president within its EM credit trading team.
Chadbourne & Parke
The law firm has announced the appointment of Andrei Baev as a partner in its corporate department, working from both its London and Moscow offices. He joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner. Baev specialises in international project finance transactions and international joint ventures, with a focus on energy.
JLT Specialty
The specialist insurance company has announced several appointments to its specie, fine art and jewellery team. David Gordon joins as chief executive of the division. He was previously global managing director, fine art, jewellery and specie at Willis. Gordon has also held roles at Marsh and Sedgwick. Barry Vickery joins from Willis, where he was an executive director. He has held senior roles at Aon. A further 20 of their colleagues will also join from Willis.
Wolters Kluwer Financial Services
The risk management, compliance, finance, and audit business has appointed Paul Lyon as director of corporate communications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was previously executive director and head of communication and marketing at Daiwa Capital Markets. Lyon has also held communication and marketing roles at RBS.
Frostrow Capital
The investment company has announced the appointment of Ben Rigg as senior manager, responsible for financial reporting and analysis. He joins from Fidelity Worldwide Investment, where he was responsible for financial reporting to the Fidelity UK board and financial control for Fidelity’s UK entities. He has also worked at Grant Thornton.
