Savills
The property adviser has appointed Julian Lyon as director in its worldwide occupier services team. He joins from General Motors UK, where he spent 17 years consolidating its UK property portfolio. Lyon has 30 years’ experience in the commercial property market.
Standard Chartered
Mark Smith has been appointed group chief risk officer at the bank. He joins from HSBC, where he is chief risk officer Europe, Middle East and Africa, and global head, wholesale credit and traded risk. Smith joined Midland Bank as a graduate trainee prior to its acquisition by HSBC, and has also served as chief operating officer, global corporate and institutional banking.
Fairstone Financial Management
The financial management firm has announced three appointments to its London office. Neil Sims joins as a chartered financial planner after 12 years as an adviser with Hays Macintyre and Helm Godfrey. Jacqueline Robinson has 15 years’ experience as an independent financial adviser, and also joins as a chartered financial planner. Finally, Paul Ellis joins as an independent financial adviser from Skilton Wealth Management, where he was a director.
Tokio Marine Kiln
The insurer has appointed Louis Robertson as fine art and specie underwriter in its London office. He joins its marine and enterprise risk unit from Watkins Syndicate, where he spent four years as a specie underwriter. Robertson has also held roles at Willis.
Saxo Bank
Søren Kyhl has been appointed chief operating officer at the online multi-asset trading and investment company. He joins from Danske Bank, where he was most recently head of transaction banking and chief operating officer in corporates and institutions.
CFC Underwriting
The Lloyd’s of London specialist lines managing general agent has appointed Natasha Catchpole and George Beattie to build an offering in contaminated products insurance for food & drink companies and product recall insurance for manufacturers. Catchpole joins from the recall team at Ark Syndicate. She has 20 years’ underwriting experience. Beattie joins from the recall team at Willis Group.
