Chinese sales lift Renishaw
British engineer Renishaw more than doubled its first quarter profit after strong demand in its core Chinese market. The group, which supplies products used in industries from manufacturing to dentistry, reported pre-tax profit of £28.3m for the three months to the end of September, up 108 per cent on the same period last year. UK revenues rose 27 per cent. Total group revenue grew by 36 per cent in the period.
