Centurion Strauss leads England to easy tour win
CAPTAIN Andrew Strauss continued his fine run of form with an unbeaten century as England eased to a comfortable eight-wicket victory in their tour match with Warriors.
Strauss added to his 72 against Eagles on Friday with a magnificent 117no from 119 balls as the tourists chased down 254 in Kimberley.
Strauss put on 175 for the first wicket with Kent youngster Joe Denly, who gave selectors something to think about with an impressive 82 as England cruised to their victory target with over nine overs to spare.
Spinner Graeme Swann was the pick of the England bowlers with 3-26, while Arno Jacobs top-scored for the hosts with 83.
England take on South Africa A in a 20-over match tomorrow before Friday’s first Twenty20 international.
