Bosses confident on UK growth
Most UK managers believe their organisations will increase output in the next 12 months, a survey from the Institute of Leadership and Management revealed today. Despite the slip into a technical double dip recession, 60 per cent expect to see growth this year, while 19 per cent expect “significant” increases in output. The study found 71 per cent of managers believe their organisation is well placed to capitalise on new growth opportunities. A shortage of skilled staff is the main barrier to growth, with 25 per cent of organisations reporting it as a worry, the study found.
