Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street reopened after police give all clear over “suspect package”
Streets in the heart of the City, near to the offices of Royal Bank of Scotland, have been reopened after police gave the all-clear over a suspect packaged.
Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street were closed in both directions because of an "ongoing incident", City Police said.
A City of London Police spokesman told City A.M. that a suspect package had been found in the area shortly after 10:10 am and the area had been shut down as a result.
The area was closed for around an hour before being reopened.
UPDATE: #Bishopsgate – all roads in the area now reopened and incident stood down. Thanks to all in the area for cooperation & patience.
