BILL OF THE WEEK
A HAPPY couple took to the skies over the Thames recently, followed by a sumptuous meal in a restaurant adjoining London’s only heliport, Patrisey Restaurant.
After their 20-minute tour of the capital’s air-ways, they sat down to a feast of caviar, foie gras, chateaubriand and lobster.
And there was no skimping on desserts, as our diners went through one chocolate fondant and a rather unseasonal Eton Mess.
But it was on the drinks that they really splashed out: one bottle of Romanee Saint-Vivant set the romantic pair back by a sizeable £599, with a top-quality bottle of Cristal, at £286, seemingly a bargain by comparison.
A fitting way to come back to earth.
