BEST OF THE BROKERS
WINCANTON
JP Morgan initiated coverage of logistics firm Wincanton with a “neutral” rating and a target price of 271p. The broker sees contract logistics as a business area with potential for growth, and noted the firm’s low gearing, relative to its peers, adding it is positioning itself to expand into new high growth areas of logistics.
VEDANTA
Morgan Stanley upgraded Vedanta to “overweight” from “equalweight” with 39 per cent implied upside to its new price target of 2,623p. It said that its bull case sees the share price potentially doubling without requiring material changes to spot commodity prices, adding another 1,600 a share.
DAVENHAM
Panmure Gordon said that small business lender Davenham is “not dead yet” and raised its rating on the stock from “sell” to “hold”, with a target price of 8p.
