Who’s to blame for recent anti-business sentiment?
This week, we are asking members of our Voice of the City panel, run with PoliticsHome.com, how they think recent anti-business sentiment is affecting the country.
Following the decision by Moody’s to place the UK on a negative credit rating outlook, chancellor George Osborne took to the airwaves yesterday to hit out at the BBC for helping to fuel an anti-business culture in the country.
How anti-business do you think the government itself is, both in its rhetoric and its actions?
How about the Labour party – does it share some of the blame for a culture of business-bashing?
And is the media really fostering anti-business feeling in the UK?
Are there any particular sectors that are favoured by those in power – is British manufacturing or the service sector missing out in favour of the financial world when it comes to coalition policies, for example? Or is it the other way around?
