Now you can split London black cab fares with friends (just like Uber)
One of the features beloved by Uber users is being able to share a fare with a mate at the tap of a phone, but now, you'll be able to do the same with a black cab.
Anyone getting one of the 15,000 London black cabs via on-demand app Gett, can now split the cost between up to six people.
“We are very excited about this update. Users across the UK will now be able to split payments with their fellow travellers and we are thrilled to continue to make the premium service of black cabs even more affordable and convenient," said Gett's Western European chief Remo Gerber.
It's the latest development for black cabs moving towards being more embracing of technology. Cab groups last week out forward a plan for the future of the industry, which also included the goal of offering superfast WiFi in taxis.
