Carter Jonas
Carter Jonas, the national property consultancy, has recruited education specialist Carolyn Puddicombe as a partner in its commercial team. Puddicombe will lead Carter Jonas’ Education business and be based predominately in the firm’s UK headquarters in London, One Chapel Place, and its regional hub office in Oxford. Carolyn will work with colleagues from across Carter Jonas’ network of 37 offices. Previously director of asset and space management at the University of Oxford, Carolyn was responsible for the services and functions delivered by five teams – asset management, information and space management, graduate accommodation, University Parks and Wytham Woods.
Additionally, Carolyn led the delivery of the University’s planning and housing strategy work, to develop 1,000 units for graduates and the same number for staff at a subsidised rent. She also managed the planning process for major capital projects including public consultations, options appraisals and liaison with hospital trusts. Before joining the University of Oxford, she was Director of Estates & Services at Bath Spa University and has also held planning and development roles in both the private and public sector.
Rathbones
Rathbones, one of the UK’s leading providers of investment management services for individuals, charities and professional advisers, has appointed Craig Brown as investment specialist to the multi-asset team, based in London. He reports to David Coombs, head of multi-asset investments. David manages the Rathbone multi-asset portfolio funds and the Rathbone global alpha fund, alongside assistant manager, Will McIntosh-Whyte. Craig will be responsible for aspects of client relationship management, and will work closely with Rathbones’ distribution and marketing teams to oversee client communications across all multi-asset strategies.
He joins Rathbones from Beckett Asset Management, where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager, primarily responsible for the construction and management of discretionary multi-asset portfolios. Craig brings with him 15 years of experience across financial services, having also worked for Barclays Wealth & Investment Management and Citibank.
RBC
RBC have hired Mark Fielding as a Managing Director and Head of Capital Goods Research. Mark joins from UBS, where for the last five years he has been head of the UK mid-cap research team, where he has oversee UBS’s coverage of European small- and mid-cap companies. Prior to joining UBS, Mark spent 14 years at Citigroup.
