Win over Chelsea should give us the taste for more, says Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Saturday’s emphatic and long-awaited victory over London rivals Chelsea can remind his players of the heights they can reach.
The 3-0 win was the Gunners’ best display of the season and fifth domestic triumph on the bounce – as well as a first competitive defeat of the Blues in 11 attempts.
Forward trio Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil all punished a ragged Chelsea defence in the first half, and Wenger hopes it could prove a catalyst for further big results.

“I’m a very happy man because we produced the quality of football we want to produce,” Wenger told Arsenal’s in-house media.
“If I had told you that before the game, we would all have signed up. That’s why we all love the game: because it can give you this kind of spectacle that you want to see. That should give us the taste to want more and hopefully it will.”
Wenger also said Walcott’s display had justified his predictions. “I like what he’s doing at the moment,” he added.
“I told you before the season started that you would see a different Walcott this year.”
