William & son launches flagship store
BRITISH luxury brand William & Son launched its flagship store in the heart of Mayfair last night, joined by well known figures such as ex-footballer and London mayoral hopeful Sol Campbell (pictured right), designer Nicky Haslam and Lady Victoria Hervey. The four storey store is based at 34-36 Bruton Street
▀ Who says romance is dead? Confused.com does, after a new survey the firm conducted reveals Brits are more likely to remember buying their first car than having their first kiss. The survey claims that 79 per cent of Brits still remember the name of their first set of wheels, compared with just 75 per cent who recall their first snog. One in 20 Brits claim their first car was the best they’ve ever had, and nearly one in 10 are still driving their first car. How many people can say that about their first kiss?

The “fully interactive media wall” on the Cheesegrater’s 40th floor was developed by interactive technology specialists Engage Works on behalf of British Land, and will display a montage of the property companies’ greatest hits. The modesty of property people seems to know no bounds.
