Who went to Britain Stronger In Europe’s exclusive (and secretive) Knightsbridge fundraiser?
Financial big guns flocked to a lavish dinner tonight to raise funds for the coiffers of campaigners who are fighting to keep Britain in the European Union.
Lord Peter Mandelson, alongside Britain Stronger In Europe chairman and former Marks & Spencer exec Stuart Rose were among a number of notable attendees to join the event at an exclusive Knightsbridge hotel, City A.M. understands.
Financial PR big wigs Andrew Grant of Tulchan Communications and James Murgatroyd of Finsbury were also there.
They were joined by British businessman Sir Roger Martyn Carr of BAE Systems and Michael Heseltine, as well as Labour MPs Alan Johnson and Tristram Hunt.
A string of key City figures also attended the elaborate event, with tables understood to have gone for five-figure sums.
When asked about the top-dollar bash, a Britain Stronger in Europe spokesperson told City A.M. that they would "not provide a running commentary" on fundraising matters.
