He joins from UniCredit Group in Vienna, where he was managing director and head of the general industrials group for central and eastern Europe. He has also held senior positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London and Frankfurt.
State Street Global Advisers
Nigel Aston has been appointed to the newly-created position of managing director and head of UK defined contribution at the asset management firm. He joins from DCisions, the data company, where he was business development director. Aston has also held senior positions at Standard Life and Axa.
Quilter
David Soutar has been appointed as an investment manager at the investment management firm. He joins from Castlefield Investments, where he was joint managing partner. He has over 25 years’ experience in the industry.
Bovill
Donal Martin has been appointed as a consultant in the consulting firm’s funds advisory team. He joins from Natixis, where he was acting head of compliance. Martin has also held roles at KPMG and the Bank of Ireland.
Eversheds
Veronique Marquis has been made partner in the law firm’s financial services dispute resolution team. She joins from Simmons & Simmons, where she was a senior associate in its financial markets group.
Equity Development
The research firm has appointed two new analysts. Matthew O’Keefe has worked at UBS, Deutsche Bank, Merril Lynch and Societe Generale. Paul Hill has held senior finance roles at O2, Marconi, GKN and Unilever.
