Barclays
Jim Murphy has been appointed director of financial institutions trade in Barclays’s trade and working capital team. He joins from HSBC, where he was a director in its project and export finance team. Murphy has also worked at Deutsche Bank.
BlackRock
James Wilkinson has been appointed European chief investment officer for BlackRock’s global real estate securities platform. He joins from Thames River Capital, where he helped manage a number of funds. Wilkinson has over 15 years’ experience in real estate investment.
Rate Validation Services
The benchmark rate provider has appointed Kevin Milne as its global chief executive. He joins from the London Stock Exchange, where he was a member of its executive committee responsible for post trade businesses and activities.
Field Fisher Waterhouse
The law firm has announced the appointment of Jonathan Brooks as a corporate partner in its equity capital markets practice. He joins from Maclay Murray & Spens, where he was head of the firm’s capital markets group and specialised in corporate finance. Brooks focuses on advising on flotations, secondary issues and takeovers.
Sberbank
Vlada Gosal has been appointed to the role of debt capital markets managing director at the Russian bank. She joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was head of debt capital markets for Russia. Gosal has also held senior roles at BNP Paribas.
Braemar Shipping Services
The shipping broker and consultancy firm has announced the appointment of Martin Beer as finance director. He previously spent 21 years at Uniq, where he was finance director from 2002. Beer qualified as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
