What you need to know before the open – 03/12
European bourses will open weaker this morning, as investors await UK construction data.
This follows a disappointing market reaction yesterday, despite several economic reports being better than expected.
The Dow fell sharply at the end of Monday trading, although the S&P 500 did stay above 1,800.
Chinese November purchasing managers' index has shown a continued pickup in economic activity, coming in at 56 – just slightly below the previous 56.3.

- Spain unemployment change for November at 8.00am. Expected at 44,300 from 87,000.
- UK PMI construction for November at 9.30am. Expected at 59.0 from 59.4.
- Eurozone producer price index for October at 10.00am. Expected at -0.2 per cent from 0.1 per cent.
