Wenger: No Wembley fear
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger insists his side are no longer haunted by past Wembley struggles after an extra-time defeat of Reading on Saturday secured their passage to next month’s FA Cup final.
The Gunners have the opportunity to retain the trophy they won last May against Hull City, a match, like their semi final against Wigan Athletic, which was far from plain sailing. Arsenal also suffered League Cup defeat at Wembley to Birmingham in 2011.
“We have learned from our hiccups and we have matured a little bit,” said Wenger. “When we had difficult moments [against Reading] the team kept going. We don’t feel sorry for ourselves.”
