Vista Equity Partners eye buying British automation software firm Blue Prism – CityAM : CityAM
Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners is reportedly nearing an agreement to buy British automation software developer Blue Prism.
The software group is said to be eyeing an offer of 1,125p a share, which it could recommend today, Bloomberg first reported.
It follows reported talks with Vista and US investment firm TPG in late August.
While it looks like smooth sailing for Vista, other suitors could emerge.
Prism, valued at around £1.15bn, has had its worth tumble some 30 per cent this year as it has been grappling with concerns about gaps in its product portfolio and its distance from key US clients and investors.
