Twitter makes changes its “Favourite” star to a “Like” heart, everyone goes nuts
Collective hysteria strikes again: Twitter has changed its star-shaped "Favourite" icon to a heart-shaped "Like" button. And the whole of Twitter has gone berserk.

In a blog post today, the company said the star icon could be confusing, "especially to newcomers".
"You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favourite." [Very definitely their italics, not ours].
"The heart, in contrast, is a universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones. The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people. And in our tests, we found that people loved it."
Twitter itself didn't so much love it (♥ it?) as find as many ways as possible to make fun of it.

This is the final straw. I'm done with Twitter.
Please heart this.

Twitter will be replacing the Favourite star with a heart, and the RT with a spleen.
