This is where people working in finance are living in London (spoiler: it's not Canary Wharf)

Ever wondered where all the bankers in London live?

Camden, it turns out. City slickers are shunning the new builds of Canary Wharf and are instead holing up in north London, according to new research.

When it comes to finding a flat, Camden, Angel and Kings Cross are the most sought after locations for those working in finance, while lawyers are moving east to Canary Wharf, a study from Movebubble has revealed.

The property firm has crunched the numbers to find out where Londoners are living based on what they do for a living.

There's a reason they call it Tech City – Shoreditch and Dalston are favourites Londoners working in the technology sector, while those in property prefer up and coming districts like Kentish Town.

Residential flats only went on sale in Canary Wharf last year, but London's legal eagles are quick off the mark. The Docklands holds the highest population of lawyers, followed by Clapham and Islington.

Meanwhile, spinners and hacks couldn't be further apart. The study found journalists are looking for propertes in Notting Hill and Fulham, while London's marketers prefer to make their beds in Stoke Newington.
