the INSIDER
IN SEA THE STARS’ absence this Group One contest loses a little bit of its magic, but even so it should be an exciting spectacle with so many evenly rated runners in the field. Aidan O’Brien and Sir Michael Stoute hold most of the cards and the outcome of the race will most probably be determined by how their jockeys can play them. But I’m not convinced O’Brien’s team of three is really top draw, or that Ask will like the going, that Tartan Bearer is quite good enough or Conduit ready for this race. So I’m going to oppose them all with LOOK HERE. This former Oaks winner has run well on both starts this season and looks to have been laid out for this race. Richard Hannon can’t do anything wrong at the moment and based purely on the fact that his horses are in top order I will be having a small bet on SCINTILLO in the place market on Betdaq.
The Princess Margaret Diamond Developers Stakes at 2.40 on the same card looks a nice prize for JIRA to win.
This Clive Brittain trained filly has done well over this trip but will probably improve over a little bit further in the future. She does face a good battle against Jeanie Johnstone, Full Mandate and Sand Vixen so it won’t all be plain sailing.
