Ted Baker goes up a size as its quarterly revenues surge 22pc
TED BAKER yesterday reported that sales have jumped by more than a fifth since the same time last year, as it manages to buck the high street gloom and continues with its overseas expansion.
The British fashion brand said revenues rose 22.1 per cent in the 13 weeks to 10 November compared with the same period last year.
Retail sales were up 24.6 per cent while wholesale sales rose 14.2 per cent in the period, driven by a good performance in both UK and US wholesale operations.
The group opened 269,942 square feet of space in the period, up by 13.7 per cent from last year, with the launch of its first store in Beijing in China and its first concessions in Germany. It plans to open its first store in Canada in the coming months.
