Team England move into village after assurances
THE first batch of Team England athletes moved into the much-maligned Commonwealth Games village in Delhi yesterday after getting the all-clear from bosses.
Some competitors, including triple-jumper Phillips Idowu have already pulled out of the Games after the accommodation was described as “uninhabitable” and “unsafe”.
The 48 members of the hockey, lawn bowls and shooting squads were given the all-clear to move in yesterday and will be joined today by 36 other team-mates.
