Standard Chartered snaps up 10 Boeing Next Generation 737-800s
Standard Chartered said that it had placed a $960m (£741.11m) order for 10 shiny, new Boeing Next-Generation 737-800s.
The investment bank said that they will be added to its portfolio of over 110 aircraft that are rented out to clients worldwide. The announcement was made as the Farnborough air show kicked off today.

Kieran Corr, head of aviation finance at Standard Chartered, said: "These new Boeing Next-Generation 737-800s will help us meet near-term client demand and expand our client base in our core markets, such as North East Asia."
He continued: "With deliveries through 2018, these new Boeing Next Generation 737-800s will help us meet near-term client demand and expand our client base in our core markets, such as North East Asia."
Ray Conner, chief executive and president of commercial planes at Boeing, said: "[Standard Chartered] had great success in the past with 717s and 737 Classics, and we're pleased to welcome them back to Boeing."
