RACING: Jockey Sam Thomas will miss the Cheltenham Festival after suffering a neck injury in a fall at Paul Nicholls’ yard.

Thomas, who rode Denham to Gold Cup glory in 2008, was due to ride Tricky Trickster in this year’s showpiece.
