This follows a shooting in Paris earlier this morning at the offices of newspaper Liberation. A photographer was injured during that first morning shooting.
Police sources and French interior minister Manuel Valls have said that the afternoon shooter matches the description of the gunman seen this morning at around 9.15am.
France's TF1 reports that the cartridges used at the shooting this morning match those at the BFMTV incident on Friday which saw two journalists threatened. Police have been deployed at all media offices across Paris due to concerns that further attacks could occur.
