Sales of Nelson Mandela’s memoirs are up by nearly 15,000pc as the world remembers South Africa’s greatest leader
After the passing of South Africa's first black President, sales of his autobiography are soaring on Amazon UK. His works occupy all of the top three spots on the site's "Movers and Shakers" index.
Nelson Mandela passed away on 5 December at his Johannesburg home, where he had been receiving intensive medical care for a lung infection after spending three months in hospital.
The former President has received tributes from leaders around the world, and is to receive a full state funeral.
Nelson Mandela's autobiography, "Long Walk to Freedom", was first published in 1994. It documents Mandela's experiences during his early life, as well as the 27 years he spent in prison.
