Robinson wants further success after landmark Australia victory
SCOTLAND coach Andy Robinson praised the “immense” efforts of his players after their historic 9-6 triumph away to Australia, though he stressed his side still have progress to make.
The win was Scotland’s second in succession over Australia but Robinson said the result, secured in appalling weather conditions and by three penalties from fly-half Greig Laidlaw after two from Australia centre Mike Harris, would not make them complacent.
“I am just delighted for the players and the management who have worked so hard,” said Robinson. “Today our plans in tough conditions worked well but we are going to have to keep improving and keep working hard. I know from the Scottish boys that they are going to do that and that is why they are a delight to coach.”
