Record £28m purse for Mayweather
BOXING: Floyd Mayweather claimed yesterday that he fought on with a dislocated elbow during Saturday night’s lucrative defeat of Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas. In securing the WBC and WBA light-middleweight titles, the American earned around $45m (£28.3m) – a world record purse.
