Quins not scared of Sarries clash, says Turner-Hall
HARLEQUINS centre Jordan Turner-Hall has dismissed the notion that his team’s defeat to Saracens at Wembley two months ago will weigh heavy on their shoulders in tomorrow’s Aviva Premiership semi-final.
Following the 39-17 loss to their London rivals in front of almost 84,000 spectators, Quins stormed to five consecutive wins to snatch fourth place in the table at the expense of Bath Rugby, who they beat 19-16 last weekend.
Turner-Hall, whose team also lost their September league meeting with Sarries, said: “It has been a long old season and the boys have really dug deep to make it into the play-offs.
“We won’t look back at the defeats and think it will have any bearing on what happens because we know that we can win.”
On Sunday, London Wasps bid to become the Premiership’s seventh team to qualify for next year’s European Rugby Champions Cup in the first game of a two-leg play-off with French outfit Stade Francais.
