Promethean’s positive outlook lifts stock for education tech firm
INTERACTIVE education technology firm Promethean World said yesterday it expected revenue for the full-year to be towards the top end of the market view.
The company also said it expected to increase the exceptional charge related to restructuring to be taken in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Promethean shares climbed by 8.4 per cent to 71.25p yesterday, before closing 4.18 per cent up at 68.5p.
The shares have shed 43 per cent since the company reported slower growth in the third quarter on 28 October.
Promethean is best known for its interactive whiteboard technology, which is widely used in schools, and has won several tenders from education authorities to supply the whiteboards to classrooms across Europe.
