PR disaster as bosses of rival agencies head for the courts
THE ROW between two City public relations heavyweights deepened yesterday when Porta boss David Wright, who is being sued by Media Square, threatened to launch his own legal action against the rival firm.
Wright said Porta was “considering all [its] options” over Media Square, which is pursuing him and his firm for at least £760,000 in damages.
“I am getting quite annoyed. We are looking at our position,” said Wright, who denies claims by Media Square that he and Porta had attempted “to effect an unlawful conspiracy” to take control of the firm.
Media Square also warned on Tuesday it would miss its annual profit targets after making a bad debt provision of £100,000 following the collapse of broker MF Global. Media Square did not return calls last night.
