Sebastien Polter bolsters QPR artillery
Queens Park Rangers have signed German striker Sebastien Polter on a three-year-deal from Mainz.
Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with the Bundesliga side for Polter, who spent last season on loan at FC Berlin, scoring 14 goals in 29 appearances. He becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer.
Fellow Championship outfit Brentford, meanwhile, have signed Danish defender Andreas Bjelland for a club-record fee of £2.1m from Dutch side FC Twente.
The 26-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the west London club, making him their fifth signing of the transfer window.
Bjelland captained the Eredivisie club last season and has also won 21 caps for his national side.
