Paris attacks: Nine people detained by police in Belgium following raids
Nine people have been detained by police in Belgium after several raids as part of the ongoing investigation into the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Police took part in at least six raids in and around Brussels, federal prosecuters in the capital have said.
Six of the raids were targeting people associated with Bilal Hadfi, one of the bombers who blew himself up near the Stad de France last Friday.
A seventh raid happened at a location linked to Salah Abdeslam, one of the suspects who remains at large.
French police yesterday arrested seven people in the Saint Denis area of Paris in a raid in which two were killed. One has been identified as the suspected ringleader of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud according to French authorities.
A woman was killed after blowing herself up with a suicide vest.
