Ocado co-founder offloads 3m shares after losses shock
After the grocer suffered pre-tax losses of £12.5m in the year to 1 December, co-founder and director Jason Gissing has sold over 3m shares.
Gissing is a founding director, and yesterday it was announced that he would step down, leaving chief executive Tim Steiner as the only remaining co-founder at the company.
Steiner said that Gissing "has been an invaluable partner and friend".
Gissing will leave the board at the firm's annual meeting in May, in order to spend more time with his four young children, as well as to pursue his passions "for various environmental and social concerns".
That sale is worth nearly £15m to the former Goldman Sachs employee.
